How is your summer going? Mine has gone by too fast, but I’m happy to announce a new project.
Indie Comics Creator Con (IC3), a comic book convention focusing on creators and the people who support independent art and ideas. The event will take place at Southern Connecticut State University, which has a great ballroom for our 80+ creators and a 200-seat theater for our panels. I hope you can join me on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
Tickets go on sale on August 29th via Kickstarter. If you want to be part of Artist Alley, submit your application here: IC3 Artist Alley.
More details on guests and panels will drop after the Kickstarter campaign.

What Happened To Social Media?
As I prep for the Indie Comics Creator Con, I wrote down all my social media handles, and it is insane.

THE SCHLUB #1
If you’re on the fence about THE SCHLUB #1 coming out this week from Image Comics, check out my review.
About the series:
THE SCHLUB follows failing dentist Roger Dalton who blames the world for his problems… up until he is body-swapped with the world’s greatest superhero. Can Roger save Earth and finally prove to his family he’s not a loser? Or are we all doomed?
The ongoing series is written by Ryan Stegman and Kenny Porter, with art by Tyrell Cannon, Mike Spicer drops the colors, and you will read John J. Hill's letter work.
Have a great week, talk to you soon!
I would like to share that the comiclab podcast guys hit on this spot recommending building our websites. Yeah we can use social and see which works best for us (and survives) but the goal is to bring our friends to the website.
From there, the email list is the best step (you already have one). The Huckberry store started making an email newsletter and still continues.
And I would recommend checking those two (example Karl Kerschl website or Patreon imbued website style Brad Guigar and the Huckberry newsletter)
Thanks!
