Afternoon!
The other day DC Comics sent me an email with a lovely holiday card. The publisher's holiday card is one of my favorite moments of the year. The below image by Ben Oliver gives a tiny glimpse of what the holidays and DC Comics mean to him, and that warms my heart from a creative perspective. But it does make me yearn for a time before digital greeting cards. Dark Horse Comics sent me an Usagi Yojimbo holiday card in 2015, and it was amazing. The tactile sensation of holding a piece of artwork is an event that can not be replicated. The end of the year always has me a bit reflective; I hope you had a great year of reading comics and digging through long boxes.

WHAT ARE YOU READING?
Hitomi #3 from Image Comics is on my radar for next week. I’ve been staring at the previous issues for the past two months; I need to grab a copy and start reading. What books are you looking forward to?
From writer HS Tak (Redshift, Boy-1) and artist Isabella Mazzanti comes a tale of vengeance from Feudal Japan in Hitomi #1. With colors by Valentina Napolitano and lettering from Rob Jones, this first issue blends the approach of Japanese folktales with that of modern storytelling techniques to create a comic that offers great social commentary while also being deeply compelling and entertaining. With a sharp script and stunning artwork, this is yet another must-read first issue out of the Image stable. - Justin Munday
Have a great weekend.

That printed postcard feeling is not wrong. I remember my awe and excitement when Mignola released the 25cents (yes you read it right 25 pennies ) Hellboy comic to do publicity for the release of the movie. Dang I even gave some to my friends.
Regarding reading I will literally roll the dice. Not only I found apple has a free comics bundle to get at their books app with all sort of titles like goofy, saga, batman, snotgirl. But also humblebundle released a 2010’s bundle and its a nice collection indeed
Happy holidays!
