Good morning!
We are currently funding the fourth issue of MONKEYS FIGHTING ROBOTS: THE MAGAZINE on Kickstarter! That's right: the "drunken love child of Rolling Stone and MAD Magazine" is back, and this time around, our focus is on COMIC CONVENTIONS.
The magazine is a combination of comics and articles about comics from an experienced team of writers and artists. After discussing Superheroes, The Future of Comics, and Cartoonists in our previous installments, this issue we will tackle all things "comic book conventions." Our team has articles lined up on Steve Ditko, the drunk side of Comic Con, Dollar Bin Dives, Conventions in Comics, Spider-Man's anniversary (the web-head looks great for 60!), and more, as well as our Best of 2022 and plenty of actual comics from some of our favorite rising star creators.
The 48-page full-color magazine will be 8.5'' x 11'' for oversized comic book panels, with a 100-pound weight gloss cover.
Creators on the project:
Geoffrey Krawczyk - the amazing cover above and below!
Sam Blanchard - My Name Is Death
Ruben R. Diaz, Vanessa Cardinali, and DC Hopkins bring Jesus The Christ: Dinosaur Slayer
David and Ben Granoff deliver, And Then There Was.....Korea
RingSide-Thology Spotlight with Eli Schwab, Christian J Meesimo, Jason Lapidus, Jerome Cabanatan, Tony SedaniĀ
and the outstanding journalists of Monkeys Fighting Robots!

About the Publisher
Matthew Sardo has been part of the comic book community since the early 90s, first working at comic shops and then running one of his own. The Comic Vault in Chicago was twice nominated for the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award. Matt switched career paths and entered the world of journalism in 2012 and then launched Monkeys Fighting Robots in 2015 to shine a brighter light on the medium of comic books.
About the Editor in Chief
Anthony Composto is the Editor-in-Chief of Monkeys Fighting Robots, having joined the site shortly after its launch in 2015. He aims to bring attention to lesser-known books and creators and give them the spotlight they deserve.
Where the funds will go
The funds from this Kickstarter will be used for printing, shipping, and stretch goal rewards. If additional funds are left over, these funds will cover the costs associated with running monkeysfightingrobots.com.
We use Comix Well Spring as our printer because of their quality and timely service.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our campaign and read more comics!
Hi, if I pledge Catch Up - Join the Family, do I only get pdf versions of the back issues? It is not clear - thanks, Max
