Let me know what you think of the Quick News Hits section. I receive so many press releases each week; it is insane! So many books are coming out each and every week. At MFR, we don’t have the staff for a dedicated newsperson, but I still want to put new books and news on your radar.

TOKYOPOP promotes Lena Atanassova to Editor-in-Chief.
FISHFLIES series by Jeff Lemire will be collected in its entirety, issues #1-7, into hardcover format in March 2025 from Image Comics.
Keenspot’s MARK SPEARS MONSTERS #1 sold out of 13,000 copies, and the second printing was announced for Halloween.
Scott Chantler’s THREE THIEVES Series returns in February from Papercutz.
Abrams ComicArts published DRAFTED, cartoonist Rick Parker’s original graphic novel memoir about his time in the U.S. Army after being drafted to serve during the War in Vietnam.
Keenspot announced it had signed a publishing deal with Matthew Cole, creator of THE GLOPPLE, which was recently nominated for a Ringo Award for Best Kids Comic.
Filmmaker Jesús Orellana will make his comics debut with the science fiction story JUVENILE. This five-issue miniseries comes out in December from Image Comics.
THE LEGEND OF KINGDOM COME launched on Kickstarter. A documentary about the making of the comic book series by Mark Waid and Alex Ross. The project has already raised $299k!
Garth Ennis and Mike Perkins team up for FREDDIE THE FIX. This one-shot is the debut from Ninth Circle—it hits shelves this December from Image Comics. FYI: The one-shot will be perfect bound, magazine trim size (8.5 x 10.875), and feature a cardstock cover.
Maverick announces the YA adaptation of Christopher Sebala and Dave Stoll's PANTOMIME, coming out in January.
J. Holtham is teaming up with cartoonist Michael Lee Harris to create THE HORIZON EXPERIMENT: MOTHERFU*KIN’ MONSTERS. The fourth installment in The Horizon Experiment series of one-shots will hit shelves this December.
